  • VACATION TIME! - July 9th – 23rd 2021 My shop is going mobile for a couple weeks! I will be taking the most popular items on the road with me in our motorhome, so there will be NO interruption of shop service. I will temporarily be deactivating a few items until I return. These items WILL be available: Lanyards Key Fob Wristlets Lip Balm Keyrings Tea Towel Clip-on Loops Microwave Bowl Cozies All Shopping Bags These items WILL NOT be available for the duration of my vacation: Aprons All Baby Items Please keep in mind that while we are travelling, postal services may be different or slower in some areas. I do not foresee any issues, however, your patience is muchly appreciated!
  • A work in progress… - I’ve started a small knowledge base on the website with basic sewing or quilting information, and product FAQ’s for the shop. This is going to take a while to accomplish, but I hope visitors to the website find it useful.
  • New item! Reversible Shopping Bag - Totally reversible roll up shopping bag. They are going to retail for $20.00 each, however because it is so sturdily constructed, you will not need to replace it for a very long time. That and it is like having two bags in one! • Latest Bento Bag - Here is the latest Bento bag in the shop! I love the fabrics in it… Bento – Green Leaves
  • I wish Etsy Messenger had a “Like” button! - Etsy does not unfortunately. Or I would be using it a lot! I would love to be able to acknowledge all the awesome feedback I have received with a “Like” or “Love”. Your feedback is most kind and it is greatly appreciated! Thank you dear customers!!
  • June 2021 already - Where has this year gone? I like most others have gotten used to staying at home through this pandemic. We only seem to go out for appointments and such. I’ve become accustomed to shopping for fabric and most anything online these days. I tend to frequent an online quilt shop located in Kelowna BC called “Stitch in the Ditch” (no affiliates). I love their fabrics and their service is great. They also have parts for vintage Singer sewing machines which I have also partaken in. I miss the craft fairs but online is my best friend right now for sales. I also hope soon we will be free of travel bans and we can hit the road in the RV.
  • No craft fairs again this year! - I just got word that the Kimberley Fall Fair is going to be cancelled again this year. Perhaps 2022 will be the year we start up again, who knows… sorry folks. I do offer curbside pickup for locals. If you see something on Etsy and don’t want it shipped, just contact me and we can make arrangements for pickup.
  • New things in the shop - I finally got busy and made some more of the lip balm key rings. I have one myself for my purse and I use it all the time. They make it easier to find your lip balm! There are 5 packs of 3 in all. Here’s the link to the section… Lip Balm Key Rings.
  • New shopping bags - I’ve finally nailed down a design tweak for my shopping bags. I’m making them fully lined with lightweight broadcloth but despite the lining, they still can be easily rolled up just like the old style. I will also be adding some 2 tone ones which consist of two coordinating fabrics. Here is the 1st one recently posted to my shop on Etsy. Roll up lined shopping bag – Green Leaves
  • Bit of a change up - I’ve updated the website and made a few changes to its looks and things like that. I am also concentrating more on making shopping bags and “smalls” (tea towel clips, lanyards etc) as with the pandemic going on it is financially hard on folks. So with that, I am trying to offer smaller, more inexpensive items this year.
