Payments, Privacy, Returns, Cancellation & Custom Work:
For my Etsy shop, payments are secured through the Etsy.com website. More on Etsy’s help page Curbside or Pickup: For local in person payments, tap debit or credit through Square Payments is accepted, as well as bank e-Transfer, or even good old cash using social distancing non contact practices. Returns and Cancellations:
I gladly accept returns and cancellations:
Conditions of return:
- Contact me within: 14 days of delivery
- Return items back within: 30 days of delivery
- Request a cancellation within: 24 hours of purchase
- Only returns due to defect will be accepted. Photo proof of defect is required.
- Buyers are responsible for return postage costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
- I don’t accept exchanges, but please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
- Quilt sales only: As these are custom and unique items, all sales are final. No returns or exchanges.
- Clearance items only: All sales final, no returns or exchanges.
You may cancel your order at any time prior to shipping. It is not possible to cancel an order once the item has been shipped.
Custom & personalized orders:
My ready made baby quilts listed at Etsy.com may be customized with the baby’s first name. There is a handy little form on each quilts listing for you to add a name. Please make sure spelling is correct as, once completed, it cannot be undone. I occasionally accept an order for a custom baby quilt. Feel free to contact me to inquire further and I will see what I can do for you. I have a handy little PDF form that you can fill out that may help make your decisions easier to make. A deposit is required at the time of the order and all quilt sales are final (see #7 above).
ALL ITEMS are pre-washed prior to shipping. Unless otherwise specified, you can wash and dry your purchase as normal. Please be aware that most quilted items will pucker once washed. This is why many items have that “lived in” look prior to sale. Many prefer this sought after look, however if you do not, please consider this information prior to your purchase of any quilted item. All items are meticulously checked after washing for any imperfections. I pride myself on workmanship, and if there are any issues they are rectified prior to being entered into the shop.
VERY IMPORTANT!!– Cooking recommendations for microwavable products: It is HIGHLY recommended by the microwavable batting manufacturer I use (Pellon), that cooking times should be limited to 2 minute intervals. When longer cooking time is required, stop, turn the item then continue cooking. Not heeding to the manufacturer’s warning, could result in overheating which could become a fire hazard. Never leave the microwave unattended during cooking time. All microwavable items sold in my shop are made with 100% cotton fabric, microwavable batting, and 100% cotton thread and are pre-washed prior to sale.
Why do you pre-wash everything?
There are a few reasons really. Everything in the shop is washed prior to shipping. The process generally is to photograph each item, launder them then sell and ship. Unless otherwise specified, all items are machine washable and dryable. Right now, reason #1 is because of the Covid 19 virus. Reason #2 is so that when you the customer, wash your purchase for the first time, there are no surprises for you in regard to fabric shrinkage, stretching, general flaws or fading etc. Reason #3 is there are pets in my home and I do my level best to make sure each and every time is free of airborne particles and also lint. Smalls, such as lanyards etc are not pre-washed but are contained for a long duration (days/weeks) prior to sale.
What do you use for laundering?
I use Gain (Original) detergent & dryer sheets for laundering (no dryer sheets for microwave cozies). If you have allergies, I highly suggest that you re-launder your shipment with your own products prior to using the item(s).
Covid 19 Pre-Cautions:
Every item that I sell on Etsy is laundered or isolated away untouched (minimum of 3 days) prior to shipping. I take extra precautions when packing each sold item, using hand sanitizer and packing the items (as always) in plastic bags before it goes into the shipping packets. I enclose a note with your receipt and my Thank You note that has further instructions on what to do upon receiving your items in the mail.
